So...I ran into a bear. I was taking out the trash, which is already pretty far down my list of favorite activities, when there he was, trying to eat my trash.
We stared at each other.
I squeaked.
He squeaked.
We both ran.
I'm not sure which of us was more traumatized, but I can tell you neither of us handled it with dignity. I'm also fairly certain he went home and told his family about the terrifying woman he encountered near the garbage.
Anyway, I'm happy to report that I survived, although my pride remains unaccounted for.
